This Privacy Policy explains how Gossamer Games LLC  (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you play DIG Crew, access our websites, or interact with our community (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use DIG Crew.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to operate and improve DIG Crew:

1.1 Account Information (Meta Login)

DIG Crew uses Meta Horizon account login for authentication.

We receive:

    Your Meta User ID

    Display name

    Profile picture (if allowed by Meta)

    Any information Meta makes available to apps you authorize

We do not create separate DIG Crew accounts and do not access your Meta login credentials.

1.2 Gameplay Data

We collect gameplay-related information, including:

    Match history, progression, session results

    Cosmetic skins, upgrades, and customization

    In-game currency balances

    Achievements, stats, and session activity

    Technical data (device type, OS version, performance logs, crash reports)

This data is used only to operate, maintain, and improve the game.

1.3 Communication Data

Text Chat / In-Game Messages

May be logged temporarily for safety and moderation.

Voice Chat (Important)

Voice chat may be:

    monitored automatically for safety,

    analyzed in real-time for moderation,

    temporarily recorded when abuse or rule violations are suspected.

Voice recordings are:

    stored only for moderation purposes,

    not used for advertising or profiling,

    deleted after the review is complete.

This system aligns with Meta’s Developer Data Use Policy, including rules for moderation, anonymization, and deletion.

1.4 User-Generated Content (UGC)

When you create, upload, or share content in DIG Crew (art, audio, objects, constructions, text), we may store or process it to enable gameplay and enforce community safety.

You retain ownership of your UGC, but you grant us permission to store and display it within DIG Crew.

1.5 Payment Information

Purchases are processed through Meta’s payment system.
We do not collect or store:

    credit card numbers

    billing details

    bank information

Meta provides us with non-sensitive transaction confirmations only (e.g., item purchased, time, amount of in-game currency).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

    Operate and maintain DIG Crew

    Authenticate your account through Meta

    Save your progress and inventory

    Improve gameplay, balance, and performance

    Provide safety tools and moderation

    Process in-app purchases (via Meta)

    Detect cheating, fraud, or misuse

    Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

3. Sharing Your Information

We may share limited data only with:

3.1 Service Providers

(e.g., analytics, moderation, cloud services)

They must:

    use data only on our behalf

    follow Meta’s Developer Data Use Policy

    follow all data security requirements

    delete data when their service ends

3.2 Voice Moderation Tools (e.g., VoicePatrol or similar)

Voice snippets are anonymized except for a link to your Meta User ID for enforcement.

3.3 Meta

For authentication, payments, and compliance.

3.4 Legal Requirements

If required by law or safety concerns.

We never sell or rent your data.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as needed to operate the game.

    Gameplay data: retained while your Meta account is active

    Voice recordings: temporary and deleted after moderation

    UGC: retained as long as it remains part of the game

    Legal/law enforcement exceptions apply

You may request deletion at any time (see section 8).

5. Children’s Privacy

A “Child” is a person under the age needed to consent to the processing of Personal Information in their country of residence (for example, 13 years old in the United States and between 13 and 16 years old in the European Union).

Age Restrictions for DIG Crew

In accordance with the policies of Meta®, DIG Crew is available to Quest Pro, Quest 2, Quest 3, and next-gen headset users at least 10 years of age who access DIG Crew using a Parent-Managed Account, and Quest 1 and Rift® users at least 13 years of age. We do not administer Parent-Managed Accounts. Permitted Child Users of DIG Crew

The Personal Information we collect from or about Child users is used to give them access to certain features of DIG Crew and communicate with a parent or legal guardian about that Child user’s registration, including for the purpose of verifying their information in connection with the registration.

We do not share or otherwise disclose Child users’ Personal Information, except (a) as may be necessary to protect the safety of a Child, including by disclosing their Personal Information, where appropriate, to law enforcement agencies or for an investigation related to public safety, (b) to enable us to take precautions against liability, (c) to protect the integrity, safety, and security of DIG Crew, or (d) where required to do so by law or legal process.

At any time, a parent or legal guardian may review their Child’s Personal Information retained by us, require us to correct or delete such Personal Information, request that we delete their Child’s account, and/or refuse to permit us from further collecting or using their Child’s Personal Information by emailing us at support@gossamer.games. To protect parents and legal guardians’ privacy and security and the privacy and security of Child users, we may require a parent or legal guardian to take certain steps or provide additional information, which we will keep strictly confidential, to verify their identity before we provide any information about the Child or take the requested actions.

6. Your Rights

All users of DIG Crew, worldwide and regardless of geographic location, have the full and unconditional right to:

    Access your data

    Correct inaccurate data

    Request deletion

    Restrict processing

    Withdraw consent

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including:

    encryption in transit

    access controls

    restricted permissions

    secure data storage

However, no system is completely secure.

8. Data Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of:

    your DIG Crew account data

    your Meta-linked game profile

    gameplay and inventory information

    voice moderation data (if stored at the time of request)

9. Cookies & Website Data (If Applicable)

If you use our website, we may collect:

    IP address

    Browser/device info

    Log data

    Cookies (for functionality and analytics)

You may disable cookies, but some features may not work correctly.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your home country.
We use standard contractual protections where legally required.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy to reflect updates to our practices or legal requirements.
We will update the “Last Updated” date and may notify users through Meta or in-game notices.
